Marian Robbins, Program Coordinator

Marian earned her BA in Anthropology from Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland as well as her MA in Folk Studies from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Her passion for culture, context, and history led her to serve as the Project Coordinator & Staff Folklorist for the 2013 Chesapeake Folk Festival where she highlighted the occupational culture of the folks that make our communities run smoothly.

Later, she has worked as a Museum Educator allowing her to explore and present on topics such as a tour of sickbay on the USS Constellation and an overview of the history of local pharmacies as centers of community at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. Most recently, she spent four years at the Eisenhower Library on the Hopkins Homewood Campus working with their audio visual collection.

She is now exploring a new avenue of her old passions as the Administrative Program Coordinator for both the Center for Medical Humanities & Social Medicine and the Institute for the History of Medicine.
