Bruce Granquist is an illustrator and calligrapher born in Chicago in 1958, but has been based in Indonesia for the last 32 years. He has contributed illustrations and maps to 24
different publishing projects since 1993, and has completed several self-published projects as well. He has a special interest in abstract calligraphic paintings which began when he studied Chinese calligraphy for one month in 1981 at the National Palace Museum in Taipei, Taiwan. Currently he lives and works in Minnesota.
