Judith Vick is a medical student, researcher, writer, and family caregiver. In 2018, she graduated with an MPH from the Bloomberg School of Public Health, and in 2019, she will graduate with an MD from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Prior to matriculating at Hopkins, she worked for the Writing and Speaking Programs at Barnard College (her alma mater), and conducted research at the Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Women’s Mental Health and with the Serious Illness Care Program at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Ariadne Labs, and the Harvard School of Public Health. Judith’s current research with mentors in the departments of Health Policy and Management, and Health, Behavior, and Society seeks to identify and intervene upon the social and psychological factors that constrain healthcare delivery in the US healthcare system. She is currently applying for residency in Internal Medicine and working on a series of essays about training to be a clinician while learning to be a family caregiver for her mother.
